Arioso (Bach) Guitar duo

This “Airoso” belongs to the church cantata BWV 156 by Johann Sebastian Bach. He composed it in Leipzig on 1729. It’s original for orchestra and oboe solo like the opening sinfonia from this cantata.

Guitar 1 (melodic design) features various position changes along the neck of the guitar. Guitar 2 (accompaniment) maintains bass and harmony.

Bella ciao” is an Italian folk song. The song was modified and adopted as an anthem of the anti-fascist resistance by the Italian partisans between 1943 and 1945 during the Italian Resistance. Versions of “Bella ciao” are sung worldwide as an anti-fascist hymn of freedom and resistance.
