O Cessate di piagarmi, is an Aria from the opera Il Pompeo by Alessandro SCARLATTI (1660 – 1725), Italian Baroque composer, known especially for his operas and chamber cantatas. He is considered the most important representative of the Neapolitan school of opera. He was the father of two other composers, Domenico Scarlatti and Pietro Filippo Scarlatti.
Gaspar Sanz wrote his book “Music Instruction on the Spanish Guitar” in 1674, which includes these four popular dances, written for solo guitar in dotted style. Here they are presented in an arrangement for Guitar Trio, also valid for guitar orchestra.

The Pavane in F-sharp minor, Op. 50, is a pavane by the French composer Gabriel Fauré written in 1887.
