In this level, the sheet music is a bit more technically demanding.
Right hand: Touch Rest Stroke “Apoyando”, supporting the index and middle fingers on the first three strings, often moving down to the lower strings, especially the fourth.
Left hand: Using the entire length of the fingerboard, from Position I to Position IX. Use of the four fingers on the left hand, legatos, barres, etc.
This sheet music requires a more advanced level of reading music, with more accidentals (sharps and flats) in the key signature, and accidentals, syncopated rhythms, and a greater register of notes in the staff, etc.

This “Airoso” belongs to the church cantata BWV 156 by Johann Sebastian Bach. He composed it in Leipzig on 1729. It’s original for orchestra and oboe solo like the opening sinfonia from this cantata.
Guitar 1 (melodic design) features various position changes along the neck of the guitar. Guitar 2 (accompaniment) maintains bass and harmony.

“El cant dels ocells” (The song of the birds) is a traditional Catalan Christmas song and lullaby. It tells of nature’s joy at learning of the birth of Jesus Christ in a stable in Bethlehem. The song was made famous outside Catalonia byPau Casals instrumental version on the cello. After his exile in 1939, he would begin each of his concerts by playing this song.
