Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 – 1767) was a German Baroque composer and multi-instrumentalist. Telemann is one of the most prolific composers in history, at least in terms of surviving oeuvre. He was considered by his contemporaries to be one of the leading German composers of the time.

The Pavane in F-sharp minor, Op. 50, is a pavane by the French composer Gabriel Fauré written in 1887. Obtaining its rhythm from the slow processional Spanish court dance of the same name, the Pavane ebbs and flows from a series of harmonic and melodic climaxes, conjuring a haunting Belle Époque elegance “Apoyando” and “Tirando”. “Petite Fleur” (Little Flower) is, without a doubt, the most famous and celebrated composition by jazz genius Sidney Bechet (1897–1959), written in 1952 during his mature period in France. The song blends the roots of African-American jazz with the sensibility of the French chanson.

The premiere was on March 24, 1934.
